ABOUT ME
I grew up on Vancouver Island and earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria. Before photography became my full-time focus, I worked in disability support and spent seven years in the public service - experiences that shaped the way I connect with people and see the world. I’ve also completed a Technical Foundations course through Camosun College to support the technical side of my creative work.
Photography, for me, begins with light. I am inspired by the infinite ways we can work with light to shape our scenes and tell our stories in the ways we want to tell them. My first love is flash, but I am equally comfortable working with natural and continuous light, and I enjoy the technical and creative challenge of bouncing between all three.
